June is Hydration Month at Complexion!
Here are some tips on how you can hydrate from what’s on your plate, as well as from what you sip from your cup. Think of it as treating your taste buds while replenishing your water and hydrating your skin!
Cucumbers
A great way to get hydrated is to include sliced cucumbers in your water. Do this on a daily basis and watch your skin glow! Besides the smell of the water is super refreshing too. Drinking Cucumber water can help soothe your skin from the inside out. Staying hydrated helps your body to flush out toxins and maintain a healthy complexion.
Celery Juice
Celery juice to the max! All the stars are embracing the celery juice fad, but you don’t need to go that far to see the benefits of this root. It has a high percentage of water and electrolytes that can help prevent dehydration. When using celery just remember you get the most benefits when eating it in its raw state.
It may not pack as much nutrition punch as dark leafy greens but crunchy iceberg lettuce rates high in water content when compared to its leafy cousins like spinach and kale because it is almost all water. Eating a bowl of iceberg lettuce should help replenish your body’s hydration levels as well as a similar quantity of water. Go ahead bite into that head of lettuce you’ll get a sense of just how much water is there!
